Cargo trailer attendants
Cargo trailer attendants manage furniture donations by encouraging acceptable items, declining unacceptable items, assisting students with efficient loading to condense furniture, notifying the move team when a trailer is 75% full.
- Encourage donations from those that are carrying acceptable items to the dumpster. Can also periodically check the dumpsters.
- Decline donations that we cannot use – glass furniture, mirrors, etc. Attendants will be provided with a list of unacceptable items. Be discerning - see acceptable/unacceptable items list.
- Assist or direct students to load furniture in a way that condenses the furniture so we can load more furniture in the trailer.
- Notify the team lead for the cargo trailer move team when a trailer is 75% full.
- Prevent scavengers.
