- Sign up as a pickup volunteer or a truck/trailer driver. We have various roles available

Driver your truck to help facilitate furniture pickups
Drive your vehicle with a hitch to move cargo trailers for unloading at SOCC backlot.
Unloaders
Unload items in cargo trailers and organize in semitrailers.

Cargo trailer attendants
Cargo trailer attendants manage furniture donations by encouraging acceptable items, declining unacceptable items, assisting students with efficient loading to condense furniture, notifying the move team when a trailer is 75% full.
- Encourage donations from those that are carrying acceptable items to the dumpster. Can also periodically check the dumpsters.
- Decline donations that we cannot use – glass furniture, mirrors, etc. Attendants will be provided with a list of unacceptable items. Be discerning - see acceptable/unacceptable items list.
- Assist or direct students to load furniture in a way that condenses the furniture so we can load more furniture in the trailer.
- Notify the team lead for the cargo trailer move team when a trailer is 75% full.
- Prevent scavengers.
