Student Shuttle Drivers
Operate personal or organizational vehicles for student transportation
- Check-in at Fellowship Hall and get your assignment from Lead.
- Pick up students from designated residential areas to SOCC Fellowship Hall following the zone plan.
- Transport students to their residential areas from SOCC Gym after furniture selection process.
- SOCC Vans require prior authorization.

- If you have a trailer available for pre-load: Oversee loading and unloading furniture on your truck or trailer and provide required documentation to the Dispatchers.

- Inform Truck Lead (Jeff Huston) of Incidents as soon as possible that require a delivery.
Load Control
Ensure accurate tracking of items loaded onto trucks
- Must be >16 years old and able to also help on 8/22.
- Must have previous FGA Loader expertise.
- East side of tent reports to Jeff Huston, West side reports to Connie Mehalechko.
- Mark loaded items clearly on Furniture Delivery Document.
- Work closely with truck drivers and assistants and collaborate with the Truck and Staging Leads.
- To ensure the accuracy of documentation, do not handle any furniture.
- Ensure the Driver’s name & phone number is clearly listed on the form.
- Process the Furniture Delivery Document with the Dispatcher before handing it over to the driver.

- Send completed items back with anyone dropping off an item.
- Coordinate with Staging Lead (Kristi Huston) regarding any non-repair questions.
- Dispose of or request visiting Stagers to do so for any unrepairable items.
- Ensure dumpster is efficiently and safely loaded.

Truck & Trailer Driver
Furniture delivery driver using a Personal Truck or Trailer
- If your trailer is available, pre-load Friday Evening.
- Check-in and receive assignments from Team Lead near the tent bypassing the Acorn Room check-in.
- Oversee loading and unloading furniture on your truck or trailer.
- Provide required documentation to the Dispatchers.
- Report furniture damage or problems to the Dispatchers.
- Ensure any borrowed trailers are swept out when finished.
- Return any equipment and documentation at the end of the shift.
- When finished deliveries, help loaders with final loading and cleanup.
Truck & Trailer Delivery Assistants
Provide support to truck drivers during furniture transportation
- Check-in and receive assignments from Team Lead near the tent, bypassing the Acorn Room check-in.
- Ensure secure loading and unloading of trucks.
- Provide navigation assistance and check vehicle’s condition.
- Carry furniture to the student’s residences (allow students to assist if they want).
- When finished deliveries, help loaders with final loading and cleanup.
Staging (All Items)
Responsible for safe and secure staging of furniture into designated areas
- Unload and organize furniture from storage containers.
- Ensure items are relatively clean and free of previous labels.
- Carry damaged or repairable items to repair area. Ask Repair Team lead (John Sparks) what to do with them (some items may be scavenged for parts) and transport any repaired items back to staging.
- Assist with cleanup including loading leftover items into trailers as designated by leads.
Staging (Light Items)

- Ensure items are relatively clean, free of previous labels and clean if needed.

- Sweep out trailers when emptied using leaf blower to trailer edge and then using broom and dust pan with a trash bag.
- Assist with cleanup including loading leftover items into trailers as designated by leads.
